Dying Light: The Following’s Map Is Twice As Big As The Original Game

January 28, 2016 by Carlos Chism

You can see parts of the new region in the exploration trailer.

Techland announced today that The Following, the upcoming expansion to their 2015 horror game Dying Light, has a region that is twice the size of the main game’s map. More space, more zombies.

The new map, called Countryside, is bringing new environments, locations, and secrets, some of which can be spotted in the trailer released today. Producer Tymon Smektala commented on the new area:

“We made sure the new region is full of diverse environments that allow for both driving and free-running. We’ve added lots of little details that tell various apocalyptic stories if you look closely, and placed rewarding secrets for the most inquisitive. We’re also proud to confirm that despite the much bigger map and many visual enhancements, the system requirements for PC players remain exactly the same.”

The expansion will also add new characters, enemies, and quests. Last week we learned about the daily activities and bounties that will come as part of the enhanced edition, along with some other in-game challenges that can be found in the game’s free update.

You can watch the new region’s trailer below.

Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Editionlaunches February 9. Players who own the base game will receive several upgrades, including bounties, for free as part of the enhanced edition. Players who purchase The Following expansion will receive all of the content.
