CD Projekt RED's senior writer Jakub Szamalek has said The Witcher 3's upcoming expansion, Blood and Wine, is "even better than the main game."
Speaking to Eurogamer Italy, translation via Only SP, Szamalek said the expansion's plot is far more "complex" than the main story in Wild Hunt. Blood and Wine achieved something "even better than the main game,” and will offer plenty of new narrative ideas that are completely different from what players experienced in Wild Hunt.
Blood and Wine will also introduce a more "charismatic enemy" for Geralt, which he admits is something Wild Hunt lacked, and Szamalek says he hopes the story they've created is one that "players will appreciate."
