As of this morning, pre-orders for the Oculus Rift are open, allowing would-be users to reserve their unit before its official release. The device, revealed to be priced at $599 with an April (March, for a few lucky early birds) shipping date, will come with the Oculus Rift headset, sensor, the Oculus remote, an Xbox One controller, and games Lucky's Tale and EVE: Valkyrie. The Oculus Touch controller, which can also be pre-ordered, will be sold seperately and ship sometime in the second half of 2016.
PC specs for the Oculus Rift were also detailed this week; users will need at least GTX 970 to run the device. As of right now, the pre-orders for the Oculus Rift are either sold out or the site is experiencing delays due to demand. Keep an eye on https://shop.oculus.com/ to secure yours in advance.
