Hollow Knight: Silksong is the much-anticipated sequel to the beloved Hollow Knight. The original game was a 2D Metroidvania that excelled thanks to a strong combination of precise platforming, clever combat, and a beautiful presentation. It has built a large following of fans who are eager to play the game when it eventually releases.
However, while the original game eventually came to numerous platforms, the sequel will be launching on fewer platforms, to begin with. Considering that, players may be wondering if Hollow Knight: Silksong will be coming to their platform of choice.
What platforms will Hollow Knight: Silksong release on?
The first Hollow Knight eventually made its way to Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4. It was initially released only on PC. This was likely because the developer, Team Cherry, is a relatively small studio and so it wanted to take its time to ensure a high-quality release for each platform.
The studio is going to be doing things a little faster for Hollow Knight: Silksong. Silksong will simultaneously launch on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one. As of this moment, Team Cherry has not mentioned anything about releasing the game on PlayStation consoles. That said, we would not be surprised if Silksong eventually makes its way to as many consoles as possible.
