Hearthstone players will be treated to a new Tavern Brawl mode called Unite Against Mechazod during the next Tavern Brawl time this week, Blizzard announced today.
Unite Against Mechazod is an everyone-vs-the-AI game type where players must team up to take down Gearmaster Mechazod. The game type gives each human player a pre-built deck that is designed to complement each other in the fight to defeat Mechazod. The nice twist in this game mode is that Mechazod will switch between each players’ side of the board whenever it is not their turn. Additionally, if one player is defeated, both players lose.
Whether you win or lose in Unite Against Mechazod, players will walk away with a Tavern Brawl Hearthstone pack of cards.
Unite Against Mechazod will be available “at the usual Tavern Brawl time this week.”
Hearthstone is available on PC, Mac, iOS, and Android devices for free and supported by players buying the virtual cards to add to their collection and decks. Earlier this year, the third collegiate Hearthstone tournament was held with more than $100,000 in scholarship money up for grabs, up from $5,000 the previous year.
