Alienation, Housemarque’s Latest Top Down Shooter, Focuses On Online Coop And Loot

October 29, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

They took what worked in Dead Nation, and doubled down on it.

Housemarque has shared new information on their current project, multiplayer top down shooter Alienation.

They took what worked in Dead Nation, and doubled down on it. This means more tech, more on-screen enemies, and more destruction. However, Housemarque put particular focus on two things: online coop and loot. Alienation is meant for four players, each choosing one of three classes. The Bio-Specialist, Exoskeleton and Saboteur each have their strengths, and combining their powers, you can work together to get the best loot.

There will be nine different types of loot to collect, and different combinations of this loot will let you reroll stats or add to what your weapons can do. With more experience earned, the better stats you get.

Alienation has no release date but will be coming exclusively to PlayStation 4. You can watch a trailer above, and our earliest peek of it here.
