Sony announced today during its Paris Games Week press conference that a Battleborn open beta will be available first on PS4.
While no dates were provided, the game itself is due to launch February 9th, 2016, meaning the beta can't be too far away.
There's also a new trailer for Gearbox's shooter, which looks at the game Meltdown and Incursion gameplay modes.
The game is set in intergalactic first-person battle arena and brings the fast levelling seen in MOBAs to various online modes and a five player co-op campaign.
Players begin on a level playing field at the beginning of each match and progress along a skill path up to level 20, which is filled with customisable abilities that unlock a range of different play styles.
Battleborn incorporates MOBA elements with traditional class-based PVP combat. The game is also coming to PC and Xbox One.
