2K Sports shared a new video showing off all the customizable elements in WWE 2K16’s Creation Suite.
Create A Superstar and Create A Diva are clearly differentiated, and I’m not just talking gender. While you can plot a male wrestler’s body type between four points labeled buff, fat, lean, and slim, female wrestlers only have points between buff and slim. Perhaps for better or worse, this reflects the body types the real life WWE prefers in their competitors. It does mean, however, if you wanted to recreate Chyna or Sapphire, for example, you would not be able to.
Outside of this, wrestler options are detailed and generous for both genders. You can still do face camera capture, and adjust the captured image for your in-game representation to your liking. We’re a long way away from the days of Fire Pro Wrestling and WWF No Mercy.
Create A Championship allows you to customize your belt completely to your liking, rearranging logos, labels, insignia, etc any way you want..
Create An Arena seems cribbed from the NBA 2K games, and this is definitely a great thing. You can give your arenas the grandiose sets of your dreams, or recreate some classic battlegrounds for your favorite matches. Everything, down to the ring entranceways can be modified.
Create An Entrance works with both Create A Superstar/Diva and Create An Arena for a full experience. Choose gestures, music, even the lighting to choreograph your dramatic entry into the ring.
Finally, you can Create A Show, so you can make your own version of Raw, or Smackdown, or Nitro or Thunder, or ECW Hardcore TV or whatever you would like. Make shows fit your preferred aesthetic, fitting a theme to your liking.
WWE 2K16 will be released on October 27, 2015 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
