Upcoming 3D action platformer Kao The Kangaroo is set to be released in just a few weeks’ time and ahead of its launch, fans eager to get a first look at the reboot of the 2000s classic have been treated to a brand new trailer. Developed by Tate Multimedia, Kao The Kangaroo was announced back in January and is a reboot of a beloved game franchise from the 2000s. It is bound to bring back memories for a whole host of gamers when it goes live.
Titular marsupial hero Kao is making his way back to consoles and PC after a bit of a hiatus; the last game in the franchise was back in 2005, but it’s safe to say that fans of the original games are pretty hyped to see him bounce back.
The new combat trailer showcases some of the enemies players will encounter during their adventures with Kao. It also gives players a look at the revamped graphics and visual style of the game in combat. Kao packs a pretty big punch as a boxing-glove wearing kangaroo that clearly takes no nonsense from the roster of creatures he does battle with during the course of the game. You can check the trailer out in full right here to get a glimpse of the action for yourself.
The game has clearly been updated for modern consoles, meaning that a whole new generation of players (as well as those who enjoyed playing the franchise on classics such as the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo GameCube) will be able to jump into the action as Kao. Fan reaction to the trailer has been overwhelmingly positive, with many users on YouTube clearly feeling some serious nostalgia vibes.
The game is scheduled to release on May 27th and will be available on Xbox Series x, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
