While the core game itself is plenty of fun, many fans have been left feeling a little cold on the character customization options in Nintendo Switch Sports. The new avatars for the game look great, however, players have a pitiful number of options to choose from when starting the game for the first time meaning that their avatars rarely look like good representations of themselves.
Luckily, players can unlock more customization options by playing the game online without needing to make additional purchases like in other popular titles. The cosmetics come and go over the course of a week or so and one of this week’s offerings has turned plenty of heads and left plenty more being scratched in confusion. Now, Switch Sports allows players to turn their avatar into a squirrel.
Playing as a squirrel is a little baffling as there’s not much squirrel-related content in the game itself, nor are squirrels a major part of Nintendo branding. How to Get the Squirrel Suit in Switch Sports
Unlocking the Squirrel Suit is simple in concept but a little tougher in execution. The item is unlocked as a “completion bonus” reward for players who have unlocked the rest of the Relaxation Collection. The collection is one of the rotating “battle pass-style” cosmetic reward bundles that are unlocked by playing Switch Sport in online matches.
To unlock the Squirrel Suit, players will need to unlock everything else in the Relaxation Collection before the collection disappears. This is pretty simple to do but takes some grinding.
