The Boys in many ways is the perfect kind of superhero story for our time. Not because of its uber-violence or the like, but because it’s so much different than all the “classic” Marvel and DC Comics stories we’re getting on blast. This is a series where superheroes aren’t all noble, where they are controlled by a singular company, and the good guys are the ones who honestly don’t have superpowers most of the time. And for The Boys Season 3, the team is promising their best season yet, which brings us to…
…the new trailer for The Boys Season 3! Yep, we got a full-on story trailer this time around, and it is full of all sorts of things that’ll make fans happy, and giddy to see what comes next. Including the “evolution” of Homelander.
Because as we see in the trailer, he’s NOT OVER Stormfront and her death…at all. Instead, he’s trying to “redeem his image” in the public, and that’s causing many around him (mainly Starlight) to realize just how unstable he’s actually getting.
That not enough for you? We find out that the reason Billy Butcher gets powers is because of a drug that lets him have them for 24 hours. That can’t backfire at all, surely. We all see Hughie admit that trying to take down Vought the legal way won’t work because the “system is rigged” and so The Boys need to come back together.
And finally, we have Soldier Boy, as well as his team in Payback. They’re apparently going to get a spotlight to showcase how Solider Boy got from the past to the present, and why he might be the “ace” in trying to take down Vought once and for all.
All in all, this is going to be a season to remember when it begins in June.
