Ubisoft is Opening a Theme Park in Malaysia Featuring Assassin’s Creed and Other Brands

September 7, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Ubisoft is opening a theme park located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with rides based on its popular games.

Ubisoft is building a theme park for some of its most popular brands including Assassin's Creed and Rabbids. The theme park is located in Malaysia, and is set to open its doors in 2020.

Ubisoft describes it as a "next-generation theme park", using the company's portfolio of brands to "revolutionize" the theme park experience. Ubisoft is co-developing the theme park with RSG.

The theme park will be situated in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia's largest city. It's set to span 10,000 square meters and will include a host of different rides, attractions, and shows based on Ubisoft brands.

"Together we are creating a place where every guest is a player, every ride is a playground, every visit is a game," said Jean de Rivieres, senior vice president of Ubisoft Motion Pictures. "In RSG, we've found a partner with a successful track record in working with international brands, a shared ambition to design the family destination of the future, and a wealth of expertise in theme park development."

Beyond the theme park, Ubisoft is currently making four movies based on its properties, the first of which is Assassin's Creed. The movie is slated for theaters on December 21, 2016.
