Ever since Marvel’s Avengers launched on various gaming systems, there has been one thing that fans could reliably count on from developer Crystal Dynamics…patches trying to fix all the games problems. That may sound a bit harsh, but many who have played the game will tell you that the title is buggy and definitely doesn’t play as the “well-oiled machine” that many titles are supposed to play when they launch.
Now, as it so happens, a major patch was set to arrive soon via Patch 2.3, but the official Marvel’s Avengers Twitter feed revealed that this wasn’t going to be the case:
“We’re taking some extra time on Patch 2.3 to ensure our new tuning and mission on-boarding are ready-to-go, and need to delay its launch. We’ll update you with the new date as soon as we have it!”
For those who don’t remember what they’re talking about, Crystal Dynamics is trying to overhaul key parts of the game such as how you get into missions and certain other parts of the title via the War Room. It’ll also ensure that the new heroes that come to the game are easier to use and progress their stories without having to jump through a lot of hoops.
If that’s not enough for you, Nick Fury will also be making a big return in the game as he’ll be acting as a guide via this new patch.
While some are naturally disappointed that the fixes aren’t coming as planned, many see this as a blessing. Because in their own words, Crystal Dynamics hasn’t been the best with both the game and its patches. So if they’re taking the time to try and make sure this one works as intended, that’s to be praised.
We’ll just have to see if that holds true.
