The Sony-published game, Sackboy: A Big Adventure has received a variety of DLC costumes in the past and its latest addition celebrates the launch of Horizon Forbidden West. The sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn only launched this past Friday and the crossover of the adorable stuffed sacks in warrior costumes is just adorable.
Horizon Forbidden West‘s own Aloy and Sylens have been the inspiration for both skins that have been added to Sackboy: A Big Adventure. Both costumes were added to the cuddly platformer on February 18. The announcement of their addition was posted to the official Sackboy Twitter saying, “Prepare for the hunt! Vex’s minions won’t be able to hide when Sackboy gets on their trail wearing his new Aloy and Sylens Costumes. Begin your own wild adventures by downloading these FREE Costumes based on #HorizonForbiddenWest from the PlayStation Store on February 18th.”
Previous DLC costumes brought to Sackboy: A Big Adventure have been based on Returnal‘s Selene, The Last of Us‘ Ellie and Abby, and Ratchet and Clank‘s title characters and Rivet. More crossover DLC was also included in the game’s first-party character collection.
Sackboy: A Big Adventure launched in 2020, being developed by Sumo Digital. The platformer is a spin-off to the popular LittleBigPlanet series and follows the character Sackboy. Unlike the 2.5D platforming of previous games in the franchise, Sackboy: A Big Adventure uses 3D movement. The game is incredibly cute, featuring the adorable stitched characters the series has become known for.
The contrast of the cuddly characters dressed as the fierce warriors of Horizon Forbidden West is a winning combination. As the new game premiered just a few days ago, hype is incredibly high for the action RPG and this crossover is sure to delight fans.
Both Sackboy: A Big Adventure and Horizon Forbidden West are currently available on the PS4 and PS5, as well as the DLC skins.
