Watch Dogs: Legion won’t be receiving any new updates from here on out. The announcement was made on the official Ubisoft blog for the game. The development team is ending support for the game after providing more than a year of updates.
“TU 5.6 was our final update for Watch Dogs: Legion. However, you can look forward to reward tracks in the Online Mode, containing both new and returning rewards. The current season 4 Rebels track, containing 80 ranks, will run until January 22, 2022, followed by Season 5 Stripes. After that, Seasons 3-5 will continue to cycle and return to the game, giving you the opportunity to acquire rewards you might have missed out on in the past. Some rewards to look forward to is a modified version of Aiden Pearce’s jacket, and Jackson’s mask and clothing set.”

Watch Dogs: Legion has received a plethora of updates in the time since it launched in October 2020. An online mode was added to the game post-launch, unfortunately to mixed reviews. The last big single-player update for the game, Watch Dogs: Legion – Bloodlines added the protagonists from Watch Dogs and Watch Dogs 2, Aiden Pearce and Wrench respectively.
The post-launch support for Watch Dogs: Legion is part of a recent trend of support from Ubisoft. The company has been providing post-launch content for its single-player games to keep gamers engaged for longer than the initial launch period of the games. Far Cry 6 has received a mixture of paid and free updates since it launched last year. Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is the first game in the series to receive a second year of post-launch support. In March, Ubisoft will be releasing the Dawn of Ragnarok expansion for the game. Although Watch Dogs: Legion support is now over, the support that the company’s games have been receiving post-launch should be commended.
