Street Fighter V: V-Trigger, V-Skill, New Stages, and Confirmed Release Window

June 11, 2015 by Vanessa Lopa

Turns out we won’t have to wait until 2019 for Street Fighter V to be released.

Shortlist’s magazine ran an article with new details for Street Fighter V, EventHubs reports. It reveals additions and adjustments to offensive and defensive mechanics, as well as a new stage.

Players need to take damage to fill up their V-Gauge to activate V-Trigger, and certain moves like Nash’s teleport and Chun Li’s double fireballs can be used as game-changers.

The V-Skill, which will likely also make use of the V-Gauge, is a defensive mechanic that will allow players to parry or even deflect projectiles back at their opponent, depending on which character the player is using. Both V-Trigger and V-Skill moves are unique to each character.

Also confirmed are two new stages: China, and “King’s Cross Station” in London. You can see the London stage in the image gallery below:

The game was originally promised to come out “before 2019,” but it looks like they’re not making us wait much longer.Street Fighter V is scheduled for release in March 2016. If you want to play a little earlier, then see if you can head over to Community Effort Orlando later this month.
