Cyberpunk 2077 launched officially in 2020. But, due to it being released in December, most players were going through the game in 2021. Then there’s the fact that Cyberpunk 2077 had an incredibly rocky launch into the marketplace. There were massive technical bugs and glitches that not only broke the immersion of the game but made it nearly impossible to progress. Fortunately, this is something that the developers have been working on since the title launched.
While CD Projekt Red has been working on the game with patches, fans have patiently waited for what’s next in 2022. We know that Cyberpunk 2077 is not done completely. Before the game even came out, there were talks about free DLC and expansions. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen much in terms of free DLC because of how rough the shape the game released in. Likewise, details about the first expansion have been a complete mystery. Still, one supposed leak that has surfaced online has fans sharing details around.
Lately, the leak that is going around suggests that patch 1.5 will be a soft reboot of sorts. More content would be added to the game, such as dialogue choices for certain characters. Then there’s plenty of free DLC such as shops to further tweak your characters, such as its appearance or the inclusion of a garage system. Additionally, there was mention of the first expansion, which again we don’t know just how much is necessarily true.
The leak going around online suggests that the first expansion will be taking place in Pacifica. We will find new factions trying to take over the area, which may mean new faction heads to interact with. While this might have some fans eager to see the content, CD Projekt Red’s Global PR Director, Radek Grabowski, suggested to Forbes that things from the leak are not adding up. So now the question is whether everything from the leak surfacing online is fake or if some elements from the leak are coming out this year for the game.
