Batman: Arkham City, Asylum to Receive HD Remaster Treatment

March 23, 2015 by Jacob Saylor

Batman fans, rejoice!

If you've been keeping up with the latest news pertinent to the Batman: Arkham series then you're probably a bit down in the dumps regarding the recent delay Arkham Knight is seeing. The game was pushed from early to late June 2015. This gives the team a little more time to polish the title and market it at this year's E3, but we're getting antsy. It's been too long since Arkham City released back in 2011!

At any rate, IGN revealed this morning that the first two games in the franchise will be getting HD remasters. These will arrive on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One as early as next Christmas. If you somehow missed the two games, then this will be the perfect opportunity to get on the Batman bandwagon – it's a pretty fun ride.

As usual, the HD remasters will likely include revamped graphics and a host of new content additions. However, we hope that Rocksteady Studios avoids the glitch-laden past of HD remasters.
