This is a guide on how to get the text collectibles for Dying Light.
Battle journals are small diaries that belong to one young man. He compulsively kept records of his attempts to stay alive in the midst of the chaos that was going on all around him. There are 17 journals in total. 13 are found in the Slum, and 4 in the Old Town.
Voice mails come from different people who live in Old Town. They help flesh out the background of the story, particularly giving you a feel of what it was like for people from all walks of life to have been in that situation. There are 16 voice mail recordings to find in total, all of them in Old Town.
There are 34 notes to find in total. These are the trickiest to complete, since some will only unlock after you finish certain parts of the game. Therefore, it’s best to finish this quest after you complete the main story, as well as all the side quests.
Collecting all the notes, battle journals, and voice mails will earn you one trophy/achievement, named ‘It’s All in the Writing’.
