Dying Light 2 Stay Human was one of the more anticipated video game titles coming out this year. However, we’re learning today that the development studio needs a bit more time to finish up their work. As a result, it looks like Techland’s upcoming game has been pushed out of 2021 and will now be releasing in early 2022. That might be a bit of a bummer to hear for some fans, but fortunately, we won’t be waiting too much longer before we’re able to get our hands on a copy of the game.
Announced through the official Dying Light Twitter account, Techland has unveiled the new release date. Dying Light 2 Stay Human will be coming out on February 4, 2022. This is a slight pushback from the December 7, 2021, launch date that the game was slated to hit this year. That’s not a massive delay, but it will allow the developers more time to clear up any bugs. That seems to be the biggest issue for the studio and requires an extra amount of time.
Techland states that the game is complete and that the studio is currently playtesting it in the post. Hopefully, when the game does launch, it will be relatively clear from any game-breaking bugs or glitches. Fortunately, there does seem to be a notable preview that will be coming out next month. However, players shouldn’t expect an open beta as it looks like only a select few individuals will be given access to a game build.
At some point in October, members of the press along with content creators will be able to get their hands on a Dying Light 2 Stay Human build for PC and consoles. They will be sharing the game with followers to expect more details and gameplay footage to surface online next month. For now, if you want to play the game, you’ll want to make note that the new launch date is February 4, 2022.
