Guilty Gear Xrd: DLC Character Elphelt Is Free For Limited Time

November 26, 2014 by Tony Ponce

Promotion ends January 5, and afterwards she’ll cost $7.99.

The first Guilty Gear Xrd DLC character we learned about was Elphelt Valentine, a markswoman who can snipe her opponents from a distance or blast them up close with a shotgun. Before a Western release was confirmed, it was stated that Elphelt would be free for Japanese players who pre-ordered the game. How will that deal work in North America?

The good news is that you don't need to pre-order the game to get your free fighter. As long as you purchase Guilty Gear Xrd within the launch window, you can download Elphelt for free from PSN. The promotion will last throught January 5, 2015, after which point she'll cost $7.99.

Guilty Gear Xrd will hit PS4 and PS3 on December 16. Remember, you'll be able to play against both PS4 and PS3 players online.
