Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for TT Games' LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham which looks at the game's characters.
When work on Beyond Gotham started, the team realised they needed to watch cartoons and read comics to find often obscure details on the characters they were working with.
In all, the game contains some 150 characters and many of them are strange and not especially well known.
"We thought let's go to town. Let's really go into these characters and bring these characters to life," executive producer Phil Ringg commented. "We really wanted to dig into the wider world of everything DC, so we tried to get as much access to everything we could, so comic books, TV series, the films, cartoons, anything we could get our hands on."
The game sees Batman join up with other well known DC characters like Wonder Woman and Superman to fight Brainiac's nefarious scheme to shrink the world for his collection but there are far more obscure characters like Polka-Dot Man, Mister Mxyzptlk, and Condiment King.
"This is almost an A to Z of DC characters and we have got every character we can possibly get into this video game," game director Arthur Parsons added. "There are so many characters that we have found and actually fallen in love with. It's about us being fanboys and delivering a game that fanboys are going to love."
LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is due out on November 11th for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PS Vita, Wii U, 3DS, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. It will also be the first LEGO game with a season pass, details of which you can find here.
