Dying Light: Platinum Edition Might Be Coming To Nintendo Switch

July 21, 2021 by Dennis Patrick

Take Dying Light on the go.

There is a ton of anticipation over Techland’s next big video game release, Dying Light 2: Stay Human. We’ve been waiting on this game for a good long while now and it’s even left the developers to release videos indicating that they are still working on this video game project. While fans were delighted to know that the sequel is not scrapped, there might be plenty of fans out there who have yet to experience the first installment. The good news is that if you haven’t already played this game then it’s rather widely available across multiple platforms.

However, there is one platform that doesn’t have this game available, and that just might change here soon. The Nintendo Switch is a widely beloved video game console platform and with so many adopters out there, it looks like this game could have another resurgence before the sequel drops. There is a leaked image that is promotional marketing material for Dying Light: Platinum Edition on the Nintendo Switch. This port of the game has yet to be made official so right now all we can do is label it as a rumor.

If this rumor proves to be real then players on the Nintendo Switch can pick up Dying Light: Platinum Edition this October. If you need a bit of a refresher regarding the Platinum Edition, this game edition has been released already for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms. We’re just now supposedly getting this edition of the game a bit earlier than the release of Dying Light 2: Stay Human.

The Dying Light: Platinum Edition of the game comes with the previous DLC and skin cosmetics. We can also expect some stickers, a survival guide along with a map with this Nintendo Switch version of the game. Of course, we don’t know if this is real yet but with this marketing material already circulating online, there’s potentially an announcement coming out shortly. Unfortunately, if you’re going to experience the game first on the Nintendo Switch then you’ll need to make note that the sequel, Dying Light 2: Stay Human is only slated to release for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC platforms this December 7, 2021.
