Styx: Master of Shadows Dev Diary Looks at the Gameplay of Goblin Stealth

September 26, 2014 by Stephen Daly

The developers promise a challenging stealth game.

French studio Cynaide has released a new making of trailer for Styx: Master of Shadows, a digital title coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 7th for $29.99/$29.99/£24.99.

The video looks at the game's level design and mechanics, while the development team discussed their intentions when they developed Styx's infiltration gameplay.

Cynaide says Master of Shadows is "a challenging game, back to the source of infiltration games. The playable character – a fragile but resourceful goblin – played a huge role in this task, as much as the level design, which is both open and highlights the vertical perspective, and prompts players to experiment to reach their objectives in very different ways."

In the game Styx must make it through the Tower of Akenash, fending off the attentions of elves and humans. The goblin can arrange 'accidents' for the Tower's guards of silently assassinate them.
