You haven't forgotten about Fantasy Life, have you? It's Level-5's other big 3DS game from recent memory, and it's ready for release out West later this fall. It's part life simulation, part action role-playing adventure — you select from a number of jobs, like blacksmith, woodcutter, fisherman, and so on, then you switch between the jobs to experience a variety of skills. When you are ready to explore to wide world, you pick up a weapon and start battling monsters, using your village skills to advance further.
Nintendo has released a couple of new trailers for the upcoming European and American releases. Above is an overview video, demonstrating everything you can do in the game, while below is a multiplayer-focused clip. The muliplayer is quite robust in that you can play co-operatively with friends locally or online.
Europe will be able to enjoy Fantasy Life on 3DS this September 26. America will get its shot a little later on October 24.
