Like the first game, Ace Attorney Investigations 2, or Gyakuten Kenji 2, was never released in the west, nor did it ever receive an English translation from its publisher Capcom. To remedy this oversight, a modding team lead by forum user “Auryn” has translated the game into English.
The translation can be patched into a digital copy of the game, which in turn can be ripped from a physical cartridge and requires a flashcart.
The fan translation includes all five court cases from the game, and is available to download for free, so all you have to do is own a copy of the game to get things rolling. If you own a copy of the game, you can download the fan translation from Court Records or GBATemp.
According to Auryn, the team behind the fan translation will take into account any reports made by players and release a final version at some point. The fact that it’s in beta shouldn’t dissuade you from downloading it, however.
