The Creative Assembly has told Eurogamer that a new DLC, titled Pirates and Raiders, is in the works and will introduce playable Thracian and Dacian factions to Total War: Rome 2 for the first time.
What's most notable about these new factions is that empire-wide happiness will actually increase the more you're at war. Located around the Balkan region of Eastern Europe, the new factions are the Ardiaei, the Odrysian Kingdom, and Tylis.
Each will come with its own unique battlefield units, ships, and cultural traits. The most interesting aspect of course being the populace will be more pleased with your leadership the more aggressive you are with your neighbours.
Pirates and Raiders will cost £5.99 (presumably $7.99-$9.99) and is coming "within the next few weeks" according to the Creative Assembly.
There'll also be a free content drop alongside the DLC's release which will add another Balkan faction, the Getae, as well as a new historical confrontation, the Battle of Pydna.
