Microsoft to Stream Xbox E3 Press Conference on June 9

May 6, 2014 by Stephen Daly

The media briefing will take place at 09:30PDT on June 9th.

Microsoft will stream its Xbox E3 media briefing Xbox.com and Xbox Live and has dated the press conference, titled Xbox: Game On, for 09:30am on June 9th. Viewers will also be able to watch live on Spike TV in the US and Canada.

Xbox Live director of programming Larry 'Major Nelson' Hryb commented on his blog:

"During the briefing, you’ll be treated to everything from in-depth looks at previously announced games to trailers for our unannounced games coming in 2014 and beyond. You can stream Xbox: Game On live beginning on June 9 at 9:00 AM PDT with our pre-show coverage on Xbox.com, Xbox Live, and Windows Phone globally. You can also watch Xbox: Game On on Spike TV in the U.S. and Canada at 9:30 AM PDT."

Xbox boss Phil Spencer has commented that there'll be a number of announcements in the run up to the show. He's previously stated that this year's showing will be as game focused as last year's briefing and that Halo 5 developer 343 Industries has a "great plan" for the show.

Ubisoft and EA have both dated their E3 press conference for June 9th as well while Nintendo has confirmed that they will not be hosting a media briefing this year. Sony has yet to reveal details of their plans.

E3 itself runs from June 10th-12th.
