Mass Effect 4 Will ‘Define the Franchise’ Says BioWare

April 30, 2014 by Stephen Daly

The developer is hiring a project manager to work on the game.

UPDATE: Yannick Roy has tweeted that the next Mass Effect is in the middle of development and things seem to be going well for the game:

@Jackmayall5757 Too late for one, too early for the other… So I guess we're somewhere in the middle? 🙂

ORIGINAL STORY: The next Mass Effect will "define the franchise" according to BioWare producer Mike Gamble on Twitter.

Gamble commented:

Do you want to help lead the Mass Effect team and create a game which defines the franchise? We need a great PM in Montreal. Email @Masah_K

He was responding to BioWare recruiter Masah Kalugin who tweeted:

Want to work on #MassEffect as a Senior Project Manager/Development Director? Our Montreal studio is hiring! [email protected]

BioWare has yet to officially title the next Mass Effect or announce when the game will be released or for which platforms though PC, PS4, and Xbox One seem like good bets.

Both BioWare Montreal and Edmonton – currently developing Dragon Age: Inquisition which is entering alpha phase – are working on the game. Though few details have been revealed, we know motion capture for characters in the game has already occured and the developers say the game has "amazing" environments.

The game will be "fresh and new" according to executive producer Casey Hudson but BioWare Montreal studio director Yannick Roy has said that Mass Effect 4 will appeal to both long-term fans of the series and newcomers.

Hopefully we'll get to see some of the game in action at E3, EA has set their press conference for June 9th.
