Homefront was universally derided by just about everyone, but still managed to sell around two million units. The implications of that are kind of scary, but what's more important is that the studio responsible for that drech has been shut down by THQ.
In a press statement released yesterday, THQ announced that it has made " a strategic realignment within its internal studio structure…"Translated into English it means "These guys produced a crap product that cost us a a ton of money which didn't return on the investment so we're getting back as much money as we can by liquidating the studio."
Employees are being let go, although THQ may be offering to relocate some of them to their new studio in Montreal(to work on Homefront 2), which is currently the place to be for video game development, it seems. EVERYONE has a studio there.
