Supergiant’s Hades Makes its Way to the Nintendo Switch This Fall; New Trailer Released

August 18, 2020 by Jordan Biazzo

This is going to be an amazing addition to the Switch!

Today Nintendo held their Indie World showcase and there was a lot of announcements being made, one of the standouts was Supergiant’s latest title — Hades.

Hades has been officially announced to arrive on the Nintendo Switch as well as the PC via both the Steam and Epic Games Store. The new, updated version of the game will come with a true ending and many finishing touches that will make its exit out of early access. The launch trailer for Hades v1.0 is here and fans of Supergiant’s art style and gameplay mechanics will be clamoring at every frame as the wait until Fall ensues.

Check out the new Hades v1.0 Launch Trailer down below:

Supergiant Games:

We think Hades combines the best aspects of our past acclaimed titles, including the fast-paced action of Bastion, the rich atmosphere and depth of Transistor, and the character-driven storytelling of Pyre. It’s grown to become our biggest, most replayable game by a longshot… and it’s going to get even bigger and better when we exit Early Access and launch v1.0, complete with the true ending, and many other finishing touches.

We think the pick-up-and-play nature of the experience makes it perfectly suited for the Nintendo Switch, and we think new and returning players are going to love having Hades on the go. And for you returning players, our planned cross-save support means your Steam or Epic Games Store progress can transfer to the Switch!

Though we’re launching v1.0 of Hades this fall only on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, we will be considering opportunities to bring the game to additional platforms down the line. For now, all our focus is on making sure v1.0 of Hades on these platforms is the best game it can possibly be. You’ll hear from us again about a specific launch date as we get closer. Until then!

Back in 2018, Supergiant and Nintendo announced that two of their biggest titles — Transistor and Bastion were going to join the Nintendo switch family. There is a strong relationship between the publisher and developer so it’s no surprise to see Hades make its way over. If you want to learn more about Bastion and Transistor on the Nintendo Switch, make sure to read the full story here!

Supergiant’s latest title, Hades is set to release later this Fall for both the Nintendo Switch and PC. Are you excited for the full game to finally be released? Excited to see the true ending? Let us know in the comments below!
