The next big sci-fi title coming out of Halo developer Bungie won’t include a suite of animal mounts. Although it would be a unique change of pace to see a variety of intergalactic creatures being used for transportation in this year’s Destiny, the developer has shied away from the idea due to the possible wrath of PETA.
"We considered animal mounts, but the weight-load of the Titan’s heavy armor kept breaking their backs, and we knew that PETA would go absolutely berserk," Bungie said during its latest Weekly Update feature.
Like Halo before it, you can expect Destiny to include different vehicles meant for both simple transportation and high-powered offensive maneuvers. We'll likely hear more about these pieces of hardware in the near future.
Destiny will be making its way to the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4 Sept. 9. PlayStation owners can expect the beta to arrive this summer.
