Remedy Entertainment Control Will Release On PS5 & XSX

June 12, 2020 by Dennis Patrick

You’ll have the chance to play Control on next-generation platforms.

Control is a deep third-person cinematic video game and it very much feels like a Remedy Entertainment title. This is a slightly newer game, releasing in 2019 and for some, it may have flown under the radar a bit. We’re hopeful that if you haven’t given this game a try yet then you will do so soon. It’s a gorgeous video game that provides a mysterious story with some challenging gameplay. Before going too far ahead, this game stars a woman named Jesse Faden, who is seeking out answers to her missing brother where her search eventually puts her into an old building in New York. Known as The Old House, this building is actually a headquarters for a secret government organization agency that deals with paranormal activities.

Players can enjoy Control right now on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms. It’s actually been a heavy hitter release for Remedy Entertainment and we’re sure that this is just the start of a long-running IP. However, it’s not surprising to hear that this game will get a new lease of life on the next-generation video game platforms. Both Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 owners will get the chance to pick the game up though some details on what to expect have yet to emerge online at the moment.

We're glad to be able to share that @ControlRemedy will be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. More details coming at a later date. #PlayStation5 #XboxSeriesX

This news comes from Remedy Entertainment’s official Twitter account that claims that Control will be coming to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X though more details are coming at a later date. We’re sure that this is a game that will feature a few enhancements and perhaps some expansions compared to the original game. Furthermore, this edition will likely have all the DLC expansions that are coming out for this game on the current-generation platforms.

At any rate, if you haven’t played the game yet and want to try the title out before it makes its way onto the next-generation platforms then you can do so right now for the current-generation platforms. We even have a Before You Buy episode upload on the game which you can watch right down below.
