Call of Duty: Ghosts Onslaught DLC Trailer Introduces Michael Myers, New Maps

January 14, 2014 by Andrea Castellano

The Call of Duty: Ghosts Onslaught trailer explains the five new maps.

After Infinity Ward teased the Call of Duty: Ghosts Onslaught DLC with giant spiders and a short video clip, the Onslaught DLC trailer arrives with information about the four new multiplayer maps and new Extinction Episode

Onslaught begins the Fog map and visits the familiar horror movie locales of rotting cabin in remote woods. As players run through the fog and explore nearby caves, someone can complete a field order and transform into Michael Myers for non-stop axe murder.

The Bayview map returns to safer locations as players wander the quiet boardwalk. Complete a Field Order and destroyer ships in the distance drop artillery strikes on your enemies. A much better death than an axe to the back.

The Containment map visits warmer climates in a destroyed city in Mexico. If players complete a Field Order, the mortar strikes drops in and detonates a radioactive missile sitting on the back of a truck.

The final map, Ignition, draws from Call of Duty history and remakes the Scrapyard map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The map is now a Florida launch facility and when players complete a field order, a test engine ignites and burns nearby enemies.

New to Call of Duty DLC releases, Infinity Ward introduces the Maverick A2 Sniper Rifle and Maverick Assault Rifle. Although the Maverick is only one gun, a sniper kit equips an advanced scope to transform it into a ranged sniper.

The Extinction DLC continues the story of the episodic structure with the Nightfall episode. Nightfall puts players in a remote Alaskan facility deep within the wilderness. A small team must invade this facility to collect intel on a new alien threat the facility's team researched.

The Call of Duty: Ghosts Onslaught DLC launches on January 28 for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. If you purchased the Ghosts Season Pass, you gain access to all four planned DLC packs.
