Rhianna Pratchett, who most recently worked on Crystal Dyanmic's Tomb Raider reboot, has announced on Twitter that she will not be writing the next Mirror's Edge having penned the original game's script.
It's really lovely that people care enough to ask whether I'm involved with Mirror's Edge 2, but I'm not & wasn't asked. (Cont'd)

Let's face it ME1's story didn't review that great (for many reasons). So I consider myself a casualty of that development process. (cont'd)

By all accounts it's a new team on it, so go with God, I say. Create cool stuff. We always need more of that.

Pratchett is known to be working on the screenplay of The Wee Free Men movie, based on the Discworld novel by her father Terry. It's unclear if she's currently involved in videogame projects but the Tomb Raider reboot was well received and Square Enix have already confirmed a sequel so it's distinctly possible she's working on the project.
In August, Square Enix's CEO, North America and Europe, said the game was "well into development".
DICE announced the next Mirror's Edge at E3 but the game does not currently have release platforms and its launch window is only described as being "when it's ready".
