Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Lands on Android and Kindle Devices

January 7, 2014 by Andrea Castellano

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas now available on Android and Kindle devices.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas introduces C.J. to modern technology as Rockstar ports the classic GTA title to Android and Kindle devices.

The San Andreas mobile release adjusts controls for touch screen button mapping. While it may prove incredibly difficult to precisely control some parts without analog sticks, improved checkpoints help forgive any miscues.

Rockstar first brought Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas to mobile devices in December with an iOS release. The revered GTA title is now available on the Google Play store for $6.99 and supports a number of devices.

The San Andreas Kindle version unfortunately only supports the Kindle Fire HDX, so other Kindle devices will not work if purchased. The Kindle version also retails for $6.99.

Fans of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City saw an iOS and Android release in December 2012.
