Pokemon X & Y 2DS Bundles Available Soon for $150

December 4, 2013 by Andrea Castellano

Nintendo bundles Pokemon X & Y with their 2DS handheld.

Nintendo tries to build excitement around its newly redesigned 2DS with Pokemon X & Y bundles for $150 available at Target and Toys R Us this Friday.

The red Pokemon X bundle retails for $150 at Target while Toy R Us sells the blue Pokemon Y bundle. Both Pokemon titles come preloaded on SD cards inside their respective bundles.

The resigned 3DS strips away some features to drop the price of the 2DS handheld. The 2DS doesn't include the 3D depth effect found in the top screens, doesn't fold at any hinge and doesn't offer backwards compatibility with DS games. Despite its shortcomings, I can vouch for the relative comfort while holding the weirdly shaped handheld.

The Pokemon X & Y bundles hit store shelves this Friday, December 2.
