Final Fantasy 7 Remake Will Remain a PlayStation Exclusive Until March 3, 2021

December 10, 2019 by Jordan Biazzo

Xbox players will have to just wait a tad longer.

Square Enix have been very quiet about Final Fantasy 7 Remake coming to other platforms besides PS4 for some time now, however, it seems that the cat is now officially out of the bag as the highly anticipated title is set to release on other platforms after a year of exclusivity for PlayStation.

Thanks to twitter user Wario 64, who spotted it first, Square Enix released a new boxart for the game, which clearly states on the bottom right that the game will remain a PlayStation exclusive until 3/3/21. What platforms the game would come to is still unclear, but Final Fantasy fans should sit tight if there looking to play the game on a specific console.

Check out the tweet down below:

This is pretty exciting for fans of the game who primarily play on Xbox One, Nintendo, or PC, however, as I mentioned above, there is no details about which platforms the game would come to. But it would be smart for Square Enix to try to get this game on all platforms once the exclusivity deal ends.

In related news, Final Fantasy VII Remake has been highly anticipated since its announcement but since the video game remake reveal we didn’t get very much in terms of the gameplay aspect.

However, we finally got some gameplay footage from Square Enix E3 2019 press conference. If you missed out on the E3 2019 press conference held by Square Enix then take a look at the epic E3 2019 gameplay footage for Final Fantasy 7 Remake right here!

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is set to release for the PS4 on March 3, 2020. More consoles will follow a year after however, there are no concreete details on that matter as of yet. Are you excited for the highly anticpated title? Let us know in the comments below!
