Speaking with Lauren Hissrich, the showrunner of The Witcher, admitted that they had enough story to span across seven seasons at the current moment. It’s all about making sure there is enough story development for The Witcher rather than solely focusing on this first season.
It seems that it will depend on the viewer reception as to if there is enough attention to warrant Lauren Hissrich and the rest of her team to dive into more of The Witcher world. Again, we don’t have a long wait now before we can determine if The Witcher was worth the anticipation and hype.
