PayPal Payments Added to PSN on PS3

November 1, 2013 by Andrea Castellano

A PayPal option now exists for PlayStation 3 buyers.

Starting today, PlayStation 3 owners can make purchases through the PlayStation network using their PayPal accounts.

Through PayPal accounts players can adds funds to their PS3 wallets to purchase movies, television shows and of course games.  Players could only previously add funds through store credit purchased at retailers or by inputting credit card information. While the post doesn't detail the PlayStation Vita, funds added to on your PlayStation Network presumably carry over to your connected Vita accounts.

Sony's new console further simplifies the purchasing process by letting layers buy games remotely from their phones. As soon as the purchase goes through, the PS4 will wake from its sleep mode and begin downloading the digital game.

Sony continues to increase the value of the PlayStation service and we discussed how November's PS Plus offerings far outweigh any competitors.
