Cyberpunk 2077, one of two projects currently in development at CD Projekt, is going to blow your mind. At least, that’s what business development manager, Rafal Jaki, told Polygon at New York Comic Con. Selling the game to the general public is part of Jaki’s job, and while he tried his best not to brag about the futuristic experience, he couldn’t help but show excitement for the new IP.
"It is going really, really well and the team is growing and the development… well, I don't want to brag or anything, but really the stuff they've come up with is mind-blowing," Jaki said.
The rules used for the original table-top role-playing game won’t exactly translate to this virtual product, but that’s probably a good thing. This is a new experience that an even wider audience should be able to enjoy, as Jaki all but confirmed the existence of next-generation versions of the game.
"It most probably will be," he said, "but we can't confirm or deny because it's too early for that."
While the CD Projekt Red team is putting its blood, sweat, and tears into The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the Black team is putting all of its resources into the highly stylized Cyberpunk. The initial trailer showed some real potential, but we’ll likely have to wait quite a while before seeing too much more media on the game.
