Epic Games Store Update Adds New Store Page Designs & Cloud Saves

August 16, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

More updates hit the Epic Games Store.

The Epic Games Store received a ton of flack from PC gamers and this was from a few things. On one hand, you had a competitor that was tracking down as many exclusives that they could get away from the Valve Steam marketplace. This left plenty of gamers upset that certain games that they had intended to play through the Steam client would either not release on the Steam storefront or would be pushed back after a temporary exclusivity deal. One of the other big reasons that Epic Games Store was looked down upon was the lack of features.

There is plenty of features that the Epic Games Store lacks in comparison to the Steam client. It’s to be expected as Valve’s Steam client has been around for years but the Epic Games Store is receiving updates to hopefully catch up. Users of both clients have chimed in on certain features that Epic is missing out on and in due time these clients will hopefully be somewhat the same in terms of what it provides for users.

There is a new update that released which adds in more Cloud Save support for a variety of video game titles. This Cloud Save feature is not supported storewide just yet but its something that Epic Games is working on and expect that future games with the feature will be readily available at launch.

New Cloud Save Support Titles:
  • Alan Wake
  • Close to the Sun
  • Darksiders III
  • Enter the Gungeon
  • Genesis Alpha One
  • GNOG
  • Hyperlight Drifter
  • Kingdom New Lands
  • Limbo
  • Moonlighter
  • Mutant Year Zero
  • Overcooked
  • Rebel Galaxy Outlaw
  • Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter
  • The Sinking City
  • This War Of Mine
  • World War Z

Furthermore, it was alerted to fans via the Epic Games Store press release that the store pages have been redesign to feature more information and content that would be likely useful for viewers. Lastly, it seems that there is now support for seamless key integration from Humble Bundle to Epic Games Store. You will have to sync both accounts up within the settings at Humble Bundle but now redeeming your video game titles will be easier than ever.
