Microsoft’s really helped consumers out when they announced that their line of Xbox One exclusives would become Microsoft exclusives. This would allow gamers who didn’t own an Xbox One, the ability to enjoy their exclusive video game titles on the Windows 10 PC platform. We’re thrilled to see that most of the big name triple AAA video game titles have managed to release on the PC platform with Sunset Overdrive being one of the recent surprise releases. This had us thinking back to some of the other notable Xbox One exclusives that never made it to the PC platform, or at least they haven’t made it to the PC platform at the time of writing this.
As mentioned, most of these big name titles have been put over onto the PC platform, but here are a few titles that remain strictly an Xbox One exclusive. Do you think we’ll ever see these games release outside of the Xbox One?
#4 Halo 5: Guardians

Halo 5: Guardians is currently the latest main installment to the Halo franchise. Under the new development team, 343 Industries, fans of the franchise was given a slightly different take to a Halo game. Instead of the main focus being Master Chief, players were split between our beloved hero and a new team of Spartan’s. It seemed that Master Chief had suddenly gone rogue leaving a new team to track and discover what is going on with the famed supersoldier. There was also some slight changes to the gameplay mechanics and while this title was received with positive reviews, the game wasn’t the most welcomed installment of the series for longtime fans.
Regardless, for fans who have been following the series since the start and have yet to pick up an Xbox One console, then this is a highly desired title for the PC platform. Likewise, with the online community, there’s a big market in fans who wish to enjoy online matchmaking along with the narrative campaign. What we also could see happening is Halo 5: Guardians lasting a whole lot longer with mod support and more matchmaking levels along with game modes being created for players to enjoy. Unfortunately, this is one game that comes up from time to time with Microsoft and we haven’t seen the company make any real effort on bringing the game over to the PC platform. Likewise, this is not the only Halo title that has yet to make its way onto the PC platform.
#3 Halo: Master Chief Collection

We just got done talking about Halo 5: Guardians on not being on the PC platform and to add onto that, we would like to see 343 Industries Halo: Master Chief Collection on the platform as well. A number of the Halo titles have made it on the PC platform but if you’ve never played the Halo franchise and own a gaming PC, Halo: Master Chief Collection would be the best starting point. Essentially, this is a collection of original Halo titles all remastered with enhanced visuals. Within the collection, players would have access to Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and lastly, Halo 4. While some of these games have been made available previously on the PC platform, this updated enhanced collection is still currently only available on the Xbox One and there’s not word on if Microsoft will ever launch the collection on Windows 10.
#2 Crimson Dragon

Do you recall Crimson Dragon? The video game launched all the way back in 2013 and was at first made to be released for the Xbox 360. Developed under Grounding Inc, this is a video game that is often considered the spiritual successor to the Panzer Dragon franchise. Played out as an on-rails shooter where players take to the skies on a dragon where the must gun down enemies all while having access to a hundred different skills and cooperative gameplay with up to three players. This wasn’t a massively successful game and reviews have been mixed to poor but perhaps a tweaked version released on the PC platform could bring in new life. We could even see better success if this game was a VR title, but we’re doubtful if Crimson Dragon makes it to the PC platform.
#1 Rare Replay

One video game collection that is a miss on the PC platform is Rare Replay. Back in the 1990s, Rare was a powerhouse video game developer and that was never acquired by Nintendo despite several games being a hit on their video game consoles following up to the Nintendo 64 release. Since then, Microsoft was quick to swoop in and purchase the development studio. One of the exclusive titles that was released under Microsoft’s ownership is Rare Replay, a collection of thirty video game titles from Rare’s catalog of video game IPs. In the collection is a mixture of titles such as Battletoads, Blast Corps, Banjo-Kazooie, Perfect Dark, Conker’s Bad Fur Day, Grabbed By the Ghoulies, and Viva Pinata. Oddly enough, this collection was never released on the PC platform but there is a community of gamers who are hoping that Microsoft will bring the game over to the Windows 10 store in the near future. Until then, we’re left either buying an Xbox One or seeking out the original video game titles individually.
