Minecraft developer Jens Bergernsten posted a brief update on Twitter informing fans of the game that buggy torches in strongholds and mineshafts has been fixed. The bug has been a long-running issue with indoor lighting in the game.
The developer, who goes by @jeb_ on Twitter made the update early this morning. It is not known when the fix will go out to players, although there's a good chance that it'll pop up in one of the game's nightly builds.
Elsewhere on the internet, players expressed their happiness at the news.
"Wow, fixing all the classic bugs like the lighting, sprinting, animals escaping and the stupid lava in the last update… More please," wrote one user on Reddit.
"First the dark blocks, and now this? How will I even be able to tell if it's minecraft anymore without the bugs?!"
