Don’t feel like spending $10 on a permanent XP boost in Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey? If you’re eager to level-up, and don’t want to fall behind as you progress through the story, there are a few simple tricks you can use to earn plenty of XP.
Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey is slowly turning into a fully-fledged RPG. And that means you might have to grind a little bit to handle the higher-level zones. Each area in the game has a level requirement, and if you reach these areas early, you’ll be outmatched by your opponents. You’ll usually find yourself a few levels below most of your enemies — which is actually pretty handy.
As with most games, you earn more XP when tackling challenges just slightly above your level. But, as I explain in the full guide below, it’s also a good idea to return to lower level areas and clean up any quests you’ve missed. If you’ve been playing lots of Ubisoft-published games, you’ll also want to check out the Ubisoft Store, where you can unlock temporary XP boosts with free-to-earn in-game points.

How To Earn XP & Level Up Fast | Farming Guide
Other than the aforementioned permanent XP Booster you can purchase from the Ubisoft store for $10, there are other ways to increase your XP potential. Here are some simple tips to help you earn lots of XP.
#1: Join the Ubisoft Club To Get +25% XP Boosts
Before you start farming for XP, you’ll want to create an Ubisoft Club account, which you can access in-game through the pause menu. When you’re a member, you’ll unlock special U-Points for completing milestones in all Ubisoft games, and these U-Points are unique to your account, so they’ll stick with you across all Ubisoft games. That means you might already have a big pile of U-Points ready to spend.
Why are U-Points important? Because you can use them to unlock +25% XP Boosts. These are temporary, 2-hour boosts. They cost 10 U-Points for each temporary use. The timer continues to run, even if you’re not currently in-game, so you’ll want to jump back in right away and start knocking over bases or completing quick quests.
#2: Clear Bandit Camps & Raid Bases
Go to areas below your level and clear out all the Bandit Camps and locations on your map. Remember, you don’t need to kill everyone in a location to complete it — just burn the war supplies, steal the treasures, and kill the base leader. If you’re quick, you can complete multiple locations quickly, and you’ll earn a stack of XP for finishing each one.
The best locations at the Fortresses — these massive, guarded facilities have Nation Chests, which are the best possible chests to crack open. Nation Chests contain tons of Drachmae.
Basically, clear every location you’re sent to in the story. Often, you’ll need to go to an island camp or base for story missions. Instead of simply completing your objectives, wipe out the named locations too. it doesn’t take much longer, and will net you a bunch of XP.
#3: Complete Easy Side-Quests & Job Board Quests
As you progress, you’ll meet lots of characters that want your help. Talk to everyone, and eventually you’ll start to accumulate a big backlog of easy side-quests. Once you’ve got plenty of quests lined up, knock them all down in quick succession when you’re higher level. The XP is still worth it, even if you’ve surpassed the level requirements.
Then there are the Job Boards. Find the message board — there’s one in every town. You can complete these jobs too. They’re easier than main missions, and give you a good enough amount of XP.
These are just some simple tips to help you get started. We’re looking for better XP farming methods! If there’s something we missed, let us know!
