Sony has announced on the official PlayStation Blog that all publishing fees for PS Mobile titles are to be removed this summer.
Sarah Thompson, SCEA's Senior Manager of Mobile Content Acquisition, wrote "This summer we're throwing down the gauntlet for PlayStation Mobile development and are removing any existing barriers to get your brainchild of a game on this new PlayStation platform. We're always looking to support new developer talent, so we've decided to waive the $99 publisher license fee for PlayStation Mobile, which means you can bring your games to PlayStation Vita or any PlayStation-certified device free of cost."
Any games published under the PS Mobile lable can be picked up from the PS Vita's Store on from certified PS Mobile devices via the PlayStation Mobile Store.
As part of Sony's push for indie developers to create games for PlayStation platforms the company yesterday announced the creation of a dedicated indie channel on the PlayStation Store, in addition, Sony has dropped all game patch fees for indie studios.
