The hunt is on with Crysis 3 as EA and MUSE have teamed up to produce a new music video to the sound of the band's "Liquid State" from their album, The 2nd Law.
The video shows off Crysis 3 in all of its glory, and is rendered entirely out of in-game footage—showcasing the protagonist Prophet's deadly abilities as he stalks his prey and hunts them down with a bow and arrow and a host of other weapons at his disposal.
The video demonstrates much of the game's open-world sandbox gameplay as Prophet makes his way around a New York City overrun by plantlife. Now called the "Liberty Dome", the city is home to seven distinct and trecherous environment which have become known as the Seven Wonders. It's an urban jungle-cum-battlefield and one Prophet has made his new home as a hunter and killer.
Armed with the most advanced weapons technology humanity has to offer, Prophet makes short work of his foes—both alien and human—unleashing mass destruction on the environment and everything else in his path.
Developed on the powerful CryEngine 3, Crysis 3 is set for release on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC later this month. Like its predecessors, Crysis 3 will offer both a full fledged single-player campaign featuring Prophet, as well as multiplayer modes for up to 16 players on the PC and 12 on the console. It's the first game in the series to offer a proper open world sand-box, contrasting to the 2nd game in the series which remained heavily confined to corridors and smaller locations.
