Metal Gear Solid V PS4 Pro Update Ups Resolution

November 2, 2017 by Jordan Coetsee

It also increases performances and slightly enhances framerate.

If you haven’t picked it up yet – Konami’s open-world stealth title, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is free on PS Plus. And If you own a PS4 Pro the studio has recently released an update which tailors the title to your console.

The patch was announced on Monday on Twitter, and then it launched a day later. Essentially, the patch ups the resolution to a solid 2560×1440, slightly improves textures and according to Eurogamer, has some minimal framerate improvements.

Besides that, the update doesn’t do much else – but it’s always cool to see studios supporting the upgraded version of current generation consoles.

This week is the last week to pick up this month’s free PS Plus titles (MGSV, Amnesia: The Collection) before it’s replaced by R-Type Dimensions and Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic, Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse and Dungeon Punks. The games will unlock November 7th.

In other news, Sony has recently introduced a credit card, offering gamers a rewards system and exclusive discounts.

‘Sony has teamed up with Capital One to introduced a new method of payment for the PlayStation store: The Sony Credit card. The idea behind the card is to essentially offer gamers rewards program for buying digital sony products, physical sony equipment and paying cellphone bills’
