With the Star Wars Battlefront II beta coming into its final stages, players across the globe have had a first chance to experience the game in their homes. If you are a PS4 pro player, however, there has been an extra bit of the game that you may not have known. The pre-alpha version of the first-person shooter was actually only being rendered at 1080p instead of dynamic or actual 4K resolution.
Now the beta has pushed the titles technical specifications to 2304×1296, using checkerboard rendering. The game uses downsampling when being rendered at 1080p.
The standard PS4 rendering is also pretty impressive, being rendered at a dynamic resolution ranging between 1600×900 and 1920×1080, which is actually slightly better than the 1280×720 to 1600×900 resolution on the base Xbox One version.
