Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt arrives today for Borderlands 2. It’s the third add-on campaign for the game, and it comes with a host of new areas for players to explore, guns to acquire, and villains to kill.
The campaign begins with a hunting expedition for the eponymous Sir Hammerlock, which takes on a turn for the sinister as the Vault Hunters (that’s you!) stumble upon a villain intent on restoring the legacy of Handsome Jack (that’s the guy you killed at the end of Borderlands 2). There’s new quests, new treasures, new guns, and a whole bunch of new enemies to kill. There’s also a new vehicle for you to traverse through the lands of Aergus, an all new area in the game.
It’s set for release today on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 via XBL and PSN respectively, and on the PC through Steam. It’s included in the DLC Season Pass, so if you purchased that, you should be go to go when your game updates itself automatically today. You can also buy it individually for $9.99, or 800 MS Points.
Beyond this, there’s one more DLC in store as a part of the Season Pass, which is set for release before too long.
